What is ONE DAY / ONE WORLD / ONE WOD? It is an event to celebrate the International Hospice and Palliative Care Day through FIT for CARE, which arises from the CrossFit community to provide financial support for palliative care (end-of-life care) in three countries: Spain, Costa Rica and El Salvador.
The aim of the event is: 1) To spread around the world the great work provided by Palliative Care. 2)To promote FIT for CARE as fundraising to support palliative by the Functional Training as lifestyle and sport.
The event takes place around the world, we invite the boxes to register through our website www.fitforcare.org and every athlete wishing to participate must register in one of the boxes that take part in the event.
October 11th is the International Palliative Care Day, the WOD could be done on October 9th – 11th to, according each box decides when to do it. There is a box in Madrid who will have the WOD available during the whole weekend.
Each box will receive an PDF poster announcing the event and relevant information regarding FITforCARE.
The individual inscription is for free, fundings will be obtained from voluntary donations and sponsorship.
After the WOD, each box will send to FITforCARE a group photography of all participants. Voluntary donations will be transferred to FITforCARE through our bank account La Caixa Bank IBAN: ES05 2100 8986 9502 0000 9157 SWIFT code: CAIXESBBXXX describing: box-name+donationfitforcare. The transfer must take place over the next 7 days after the event ends.
